United Way of Greater Mercer County (UWGMC) announces the appointment of two new board members to its Board of Directors, and the full slate of board members for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
Joining the Board of Directors are Suzanne (Sue) Tame and Michael T. Smith. “We welcome Sue and Michael’s leadership, diverse expertise, and passion to serve Mercer County. They will assist UWGMC to remain focused on serving individuals and families that were or are newly affected by the financial repercussions of the pandemic,” said Sandra Toussaint, President & CEO of UWGMC.
Sue is the Global Client Service Partner & Chemical Industry Leader for the East Region Markets of the US, at Ernst Young LLC. She has 30 years of management consulting and business advisory services experience and specializes in strategy, business transformation, financial and performance management, and enterprise systems implementation services. Sue, who is Australian, has extensive experience working across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America supporting global Chemical and Petroleum accounts.
Sue is passionate about other organizations in the community. She has sat on the board of YWCA of Princeton, is an avid volunteer at Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and Special Olympics New Jersey.
Michael T. Smith is Vice President & Retail District Manager at Investors Bank. Smith has been with Investors for 16 years. He is responsible for leading, coaching, and managing 60+ bankers across South Jersey District to outpace target growth goals, increasing overall deposits and commercial loans, and full management accountability for daily processes and strategic priorities across the district. Before this role, Michael served as Small Business Sales Management for the bank.
Michael is very active in the community. He sits on the Roma Bank Foundation Board, serves on the Advisory Committee for Kids Chance of New Jersey, and is a member of the Mercer County College Foundation Board of Directors. He is also a past board member of Plainfield NJ YMCA.
