During times of uncertainty and crisis, people come together to support one another. We’re partnering to make sure students have access to computers for remote school work.
For more than a year, TDI Connect (TDI), United Way of Greater Mercer County (UWGMC) and Mercer County Community College (MCCC) have partnered to address the local technology gap. When the COVID-19 crisis began, TDI responded by making computers available to MCCC students. With fundraising support from UWGMC, TDI received more than $30,000 from a private donor that will enable the purchase of hard drives and other supplies to refurbish more than 800 outdated laptops donated by MCCC and Withum. Together, we’re making sure that learning continues.
“The technology gap is real, and at no time has that been more evident than during this current public health emergency. As educators, it is our responsibility to give our students the tools they need to succeed, which is more important now than ever.”
- Mercer County Community College President, Dr. Jianping Wang
